LPES Counseling Department Beliefs 

• Students should have equitable access to an education that maximizes their unique potential within academic, career, and social/emotional domains 

• Students have the right to receive an education in a safe, supportive, honest, and respectful environment 

• Students have the right to form relationships with adults and their peers that encourage and support their individual success 

• All students can achieve and should be challenged and supported in their efforts to reach their highest potential 

• Students should be supported by the school community in an effort to aid them in the achievement of their individual short-term and/or long-term goals.  

 

 

LPES Counseling Department Mission 

 

The School Counseling Program at Linkhorn Park Elementary is designed to enhance students’ development of the whole self and develop a healthy balance of mental, social/emotional, physical well-being through by way of an equitable and comprehensive school counseling program.  Students will be supported by the school counselor and school community through multi-tiered systems of support and data driven interventions. The collective goal of the LPES counseling department, administration, and staff is to equip students with the foundational tools necessary to become: responsible citizens; critical & creative thinkers; and academically proficient individuals, so that they meet the challenges of a global society. 

 

LPES Counseling Department Vision

 

Through advocacy, leadership, collaboration, and systemic change the school counseling department will provide students with the support needed maximize each students’ individual standards of success.  Students at Linkhorn Park Elementary will advance to middle school having been exposed to a diverse, challenging, and enriching core curriculum that will aide students in becoming life-long learners and productive citizens in an ever-changing global society.
